Yet another part of Yedo Bay is the Aqualine tunnel. The Aqualine Tunnel is a tunnel that spans the narrowest part of the bay. It made quick travel around the bay possible. Taking roughly 31 years [include study] and 1.44 trillion dollars the bridge/tunnel opened in December of 1997. It connects the Kisarazu city of Chiba Prefecture and the Kawasaki city of Kanagawa Prefecture. The Kawasaki side of the tunnel is 5.9 miles long 197 feet under the surface of the ocean.
